Problem: Cannabis Packaging

Well-known for hard-to-open expensive plastic packaging, this industry is due for an environmental refresh:

  • main source is China which though low-cost initially
can be very expensive with additional shipping charges
  • single-use, simple options for regulatory approval
  • shipping delays which can lead to missed launches and
out-of-stock issues in an industry with very tight margins

Solution:

  • custom solutions with cost-effective savings suitable for POS, tinctures boxes, labels and sachets
  • one-off single use solutions that are suitable for regulatory approval and testing instead of purchasing a large-run based on minimum MOQs for a solution that may need
to be changed depending on regulatory feedback

Problem: Plastic Food Packaging

Ongoing usage of plastics in the foodservice industry is a low-cost, durable option with a myriad of versatile options but continued usage is causing the following issues;

  • creating a crisis in landfills
  • not fully recyclable
  • pollution generating

Solution:

By switching to paper and cardboard options, foodservice companies can quickly switch to an environmentally friendly option that reduces their carbon footprint. This is now a necessity in the CARICOM region due to the 2021 ban of single use plastics.

  • BOXperts has an assortment of standard cardboard sizes of boxes for takeaway containers and bags
  • customized options to add logo, website and any content printed directly on packaging to expand brand recognition

Problem: Beverage Packaging

Plastic packaging harms the environment, pollutes oceans, and poses health risks due to chemical leaching into beverages.

  • Beer and similar beverages utilize standard cardboard packaging but, as with Red Stripe (packaging produced in Dominican Republic and bottled in Jamaica) production is often done in multiple jurisdictions increasing costs.
  • Water is primarily bottled in plastics

Solution:

  • Red Stripe could utilize our one-stop solution to diecut, print and fold their packs and cartons locally in Jamaica
  • Consumers want to drink water in sustainable packaging so let’s make boxed water the new normal by producing sustainable packaging that doesn’t hurt the environment – custom diecuts, printing, and finishing options
  • Water—several innovative companies are now utilizing boxed water in cardboard.

Problem: E-Commerce Packaging

With the explosion of e-commerce  in 2020,  brands need to provide goods in packages that are:

  • lightweight to reduce shipping costs
  • provide ample protection for the goods being shipped
  • are appealing to carry the brand messaging to the end consumer especially in the “unboxing” phase of the consumer experience

Solution:

  • BOXperts will work with retailers on a 5-step process to personalize a brand-focused pack that will protect the goods while delighting the end-user with low-cost packaging, inserts, slots, and fillers
